The Birth of Rumparooz, how the brand was developed in the first place, a warm and loving story behind the scene

The Rumparooz were born in 2006, shortly after the birth of Autumn, Chad and Julie's second daughter. They quickly learned that she was highly sensitive to disposable diapers and could not wear them even for a few hours. They became discouraged after lengthy research and sampling of many different brands of cloth diapers. Julie and Chad could not find a cloth diaper that had both the fit and function that they liked. Each diaper change additionally became a full outfit change as the cloth diapers they used could not contain the frequent messes, similar to disposables. Julie started brainstorming, problem solving and inventing leak prevention technology in her own ideas for diaper patterns.

Taught to sew at a young age by her mother, this was Julie's simple solution to their problem. The first thing she did was design and invent the dual (double) inner gusset which is now patented and issued to Julie and Kanga Care by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Julie sat and traced out her patterns onto fabric that she would later sew at the kitchen table. She would hand off the traced fabric to Chad who would cut it out. Chad would also add all the snaps to each diaper once they reached that step in the process. This love and attention to each diaper set a standard for quality from the beginning. Kanga Care has come a long way since those days expanding into the Lil Joey and Ecoposh lines as well as offering many other diapering accessories. You can still catch a scene very similar to this every once in a while as Julie still creates and prototypes all product styles for each brand that makes up Kanga Care.

The now patented Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper was the original cloth diaper to contain inner gusset leak proof technology. News spread quickly about Julie's new diaper design and function. Word got out and soon they had orders to fill for interested moms and dads. Wasting no time, retailers started requesting the Rumparooz to be sold in their stores. The Rumparooz, and the entire family of Kanga Care brand diapers and diapering accessories, are now sold worldwide.
